The watch to be posted this time is the Montblanc Moonphase watch. The neat design is very cool.

Separating hands is tricky. Certain watch hands are really tricky to handle, so always be careful. Even if it doesn't seem like a big deal, hands should be kept in good condition as they are the most visible parts when wearing a watch.

Clean washing The case separated from the movement goes into ultrasonic cleaning. Then the days of silence rise to the surface. No matter how clean it looks, there are all the clocks in between. The more time comes, the more you feel that this watch has been with you for a long time. It is a moment that reminds us that it is a precious watch and needs proper care.

Come back to the movement

Keep disassemble

After removing the wheel in the red circle, there is a small groove indicated by the red arrow in the picture below.

It looks like this when you look into the microscope. This is when the oil is hardened. In this part, I feel that the spinning wheel is going to get a big crowd. This is the part where the wheel that connects the automatic winding and the main spring operates. The wheel in the red circle in the picture above is the part that plays the role. In other words, the rotor rotates and the wheel must rotate smoothly in this area to recharge the main spring with energy. If the rotation of this part is not smooth, the name Automatic Watch may become colorless. If the rotor doesn't work properly, the watch won't charge properly and the reserve function will drop significantly. The automatic watch is automatically charged by movement that occurs during wearing, so it is assumed that the rotor is operating normally. Commit to restore it neatly, and start disassembly again.

Looking at the main springs of watches that overhaul these days, they are often clean without oil. Not a good situation. This is because it needs some oil to work elastically.

Separation of main plate front

This is a completely separated main plate.

All disassembled parts are restored to a clean appearance through brushing and cleaning.

Oiling should also be done on the front. In order to express time well, the hour and minute hands must move well. For the moonphase to work well, the moonphase wheel must rotate well. For this, of course, proper oiling is required.

The balance wheel always has an emphasis. If you look at the tip of the tweezers, you will see the gem at the top of the balance wheel. After separating the parts, and proceeding with the epilam coating I mentioned earlier, you need to lubricate the necessary oil. As it is a very small part, you must always be nervous and focused when working.

It is most important to refuel in place since oil must be lubricated in the middle of the epilam coating so that it does not come off when the cap is closed and oil remains.

When the oil sits in place, it turns into a beautiful shape.

There is another gem on the front of the movement. Do the same thing once more.

The exact overhaul result is a movement number. We are working to ensure that the movement is the most stable and the best.

Cannon Pinion Equipped Now you need to assemble the time-stamped front.

This case is completely dried after washing. It is a shining appearance.

The waterproof gasket is silicone oiled.

When tightening the screw of the back case, we work with Loctite, to prevent accidental injury to the driver because the screw is exposed outside. This is to ensure that the screw can be fixed as best as possible.

Overhauled watches need to be checked for at least 24 hours. It was a Montblanc watch overhaul work that matched the simple design and moon phase. Thanks for reading the long article.
